The theme of Postcardy’s August Scavenger Hunt is “My Funniest Postcards”, this one was the funniest one I found in our collection, Postcardy’s are much funnier.

I guess to a youngun’ like me, it seems “funny” that my elders could be risque.This postcard was written to my Great Aunt Iva Pringle Howell in 1950? (the postmark is hard to read)
In 1950 she would have been 55 years old and had been married to her childhood “Sweetie Pie” for 32 years. I wonder who sent this, I think a girl friend.

I got a bid kick out of your post cards. People do not send many cards like that anymore, but I thing they are great.
I find it curious that most people didn’t sign their full name on the postcards. I guess it’s because they were usually on vacation and the recipient obviously knew who they were!

I agree, and I even wonder if this is a lady using a nickname, it looks like it is signed “Lancing” ?? from Lansing?? Maybe the card was so racy she was afraid to sign her real name?
I am still looking for a “quadruped “, I am sure I’ll find something.
