Job (5) Badgley, son of Rev. David and Rhoda (Valentine) Badgley was born August 1, 1788.

He lived in St. Clair County, ILL and died in Texas, April 11, 1854.

He was married October 25, 1810 to Micha Wilderman who was born in Pennsylvania December 12, 1793 and died February 22, 1856.

He was a brickmaker and layer and is said to have built the first brick house in Illinois.

Children of Job (5) and Micha (Wilderman) Badgley;

1. Emily, born October 14, 1811, married Solomon Sparr and died October 4, 1843;

2. John born Septmeber 26, 1813, died June 8, 1852;

3. Benjamin born December 11, 1816 died Septmeber 11, 1842.

4. Davie W. born April 25, 1819; married first Hariett Badgley, whose father John Badgley of Indiana is said to have been a cousin to Job(5) Badgley; second Rhoda Whitesides;

5. Aaron, born January 29, 1821 died unmarried March 25, 1849;

6. Rosetta born April 17, 1823, married Charles Scott November 28, 1841 and died in 1849 or 1854;

7. George W. born February 28, 1826 married Rhoda Brown, June 17, 1850 and died February 1, 1874;

8. Simon P. born August 30, 1828, married Loretta Wilderman April 20, 1858.

9. William W. married Zada Rittenhouse, America Rhodes and Sarah J. Jolly; 10. Thomas W. born March 3.
