  	Sandpoint News Bulletin Apr 19 1962 pg 5 Hope News Friends and neighbors were saddened by the death of Lee Pringle who became ill suddenly Thursday afternoon and passed away that same night in a local hospital. Mr. Pringle, a long time resident of this community, came here from Wyoming, where he has done extensive farming. He was still active in the Aberdeen Angus Cattlemen's Association, breeding and selling many fine animals. Wyoming - out of state Obituary Gillette News Record - May 10, 1962 pg 10 Funeral Rites of Alfred L. Pringle Alfred L. Pringle, former resident of Campbell County, was buried at Sand Point, Idaho, on April 16, 1962, at the age of 75 years. Pringle was a retired rancher and salesman who had been ill health for several years before his death which was caused by a stroke at Bonner General hospital at Sand Point, Idaho, April 13. Pringle married his wife, Freda, on June 5, 1917, and brought his bride to Wyoming where they filed on their homestead north of Gillette in 1918. He went into World War I service shortly after. When he returned to his homestead, he opened up a general store. Later he added the post office and built on an adjoining dance hall. He had a black and white spotted stuffed horse in the front of his store and the post office was named Spotted Horse because of that relic. Pringle sold the store in 1939 and moved to Hope, Idaho where he retired in 1940. He lived there 21 years where he enjoyed fishing, building houses and other hobbies. Mr. Pringle was born in Sand Lake, Michigan. He was a member of the Eks Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Freda, Hope, Idaho; two brothers, Ray A. Pringle of Walla Walla, Washington, and Homer L. Pringle of Upton, Wyoming; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held in the Moon chapel with Rev. E. F. G. Meyer of the Clark Ford[Fork] Lutheran Church officiating. Obituary - Sandpoint News Bulletin Thursday Apr 19, 1962 pg 9 Col 3 Alfred Lee Pringle                Alfred Lee Pringle, a resident of Hope for the past 22 years, died Friday morning in Bonner General Hospital. He was 76.     Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from the Moon Chapel with the Rev. E. F G Meyer of the Hope Lutheran Church officiating, cremation  followed.     Mr. Pringle was born Oct. 22, 1886 in Sand Lake, Mich. He came to Hope 22 years ago from Wyoming where he had engaged in ranching. He is survived by his wife, Freda, at the home, and two brothers. Ray A. Walla Walla, Wash and Homer L. Upton, Wyo. Also surviving Are several nephews and Grandnieces. He was a member of the Elks.
