  	Obituary: THE OWOSSO ARGUS PRESS, owosso, MI Feb 24, 2010 Joseph Nicolaus Beckman Age 81, of Chesaning, passed away on Monday evening, Feb. 22, 2010. He was born on Dec. 6, 1928, in Maple Grove Township, the son of Marcellus and Rosa (Constine) Beckman. He married Joyce Blackmer on Jan. 13, 1951; she preceded him in death on April 25, 2005. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors Fisher Body Plant. He is survived by daughters Marsha (Marc) Palko of Chesaning and Jean (Bill) Fountain of Georgia; son Ron Beckman of Chesaning; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers Vincent Beckman of Chesaning, Clare (Betty) Beckman of Burt, Frank (Kate) Beckman of Chesaning, and Richard Beckman of Chesaning; sister Sr. Maria Goretti of Bay City; sister-in-law Barbara Beckman of Chesaning; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce; son James Beckman in 1990; brothers Eugene, Paul and David; sisters Agnes Fall and Margaret Beckman; sisters-in-law Betty Beckman and Wava Beckman; and brother-in-law Lester Fall. A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the St. Michael Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Fr. T.J. Fleming will officiate with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning, today from 6 to 8 p.m. and all day Thursday, then at church on Friday after 10 a.m. Scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday with the Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Junction of Hope or the Parkinson's Foundation. www.wmartinfuneralhome.com
