- BLACKMERE, MR. RUSSELL E.
Of Lost Lake, Barryton, Mich, for the past 12 years. Formerly of Jackson, passed away July 31, 1983, aged 77 years. Mr. Blackmere was born June 10, 1906 in Saginaw County.
Surviving are his wife, Grethel; three daughters, Mrs. Jimmy (Carol) French of Jackson, Mrs. Gerald (Kay) Pelham of Cement City, Mary Lou Sumner of DeWitt; one son and daughter in - law, Keith and Joann Blackmere of Jackson; 12 grandchil dren; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Blackmer of Chesning. He was a preceded in death by a grandson,John French in 1980.
Mr. Blackmere was a member of the Chippewa Lake United Methodist Church, a member of the James Cliff Lodge No. 424, F. & A.M. of Weidman, Mich. Mr. Blackmere was former member and trustee of the Vandercook Lake School Board. Mr. Blackmere is at Patience Montgomery Chapel, 406 First St. Committal services will be conducted at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, Wednesday 11:00 a.m. The Reverend William Torrey officiating.
